BIRTHDAY girl Susan Boyle enjoyed a double stunner yesterday as she was thrown a surprise party – and given a £6000 diamond bracelet by Simon Cowell.

The singer couldn’t contain herself when fans organised a bash to mark her turning 49 today – 6000 miles from home in Tokyo. And if that wasn’t enough, Cowell put the icing on the cake with his diamond and white gold gift.

Susan was left speechless when a candle-lit cake was brought out and fans burst into Happy Birthday.

She was performing before a crowd of 1000 with the Yomiyuri Nippon Orchestra. Afterwards, fans from England, America, New Zealand, Asia and Australia sprung the party, planned weeks ago.

They showered her with cards and presents. After opening the gift-wrapped bracelet from Simon, Susan said: “Oh, my God.”

It shows again how far Susan, from Blackburn, West Lothian, has come since just under a year ago, when she was an unknown karaoke singer.

The Britain’s Got Talent runner-up’s album I Dreamed A Dream has sold more than 8.5million copies and she has netted a £4million fortune.
